Las Aventuras de Compañeros en Michoacan

On the Metro and around the City by microbus during our visit were fantastic. Hector’s friends with whom we lodged kept our stomachs full of wonderful food while serving kindness and hospitality beyond my wildest dreams. We visited the amazing Teotihuacán and sampled the City’s vibe in almost every direction.
From the City we traveled by autobus (tour bus) to Zamora, Michoacán landing squarely in the middle of Dia de los Muertos celebrations and customs as we made our way to Hector’s hometown of San Juan Del Palmira. I enjoyed the fantastic blessing of engaging with the family and friends of Hector and Consuelo while taking part in the rich cultural heritage of Michoacán on many levels.
A trip to Santa Clara del Cobre in Michoacán’s mountainous region of Aguacates and Lagos was another highlight of the trip. The mild climate of Michoacán provides many open-air opportunities that I long for days in our current icebox temperatures here in the Yakima Valley.
