***Last-Minute Help for DACA Recipients Who Can Renew – Even If You Cannot Afford the Fee***

NWIRP will be opening their offices Monday through Wednesday (October 2-4) on a walk-in basis for any DACA recipient who is eligible for renewal and must submit their renewal application so it is received by immigration officials by Thursday, October 5. Renewal applicants do NOT need to make an appointment but can appear in person at the offices listed below.

As a reminder, DACA recipients whose work permits expire between September 5, 2017 and March 5, 2018 are eligible to renew their DACA status for an additional 2-year period but they must submit their applications so they are received by October 5.

Applicants who do not have the money to pay the application fee should come in.

Through a partnership with the Washington Dream Coalition, the Mission Asset Fund and the Office of Governor Inslee, NWIRP can provide on-the-spot scholarships to cover renewal fees for at least the first 50 applicants who need assistance. NWIRP will also cover express mail costs for eligible renewal applicants to make sure their applications are received by immigration on or before October 5, but applicants must come to our offices as soon as possible and no later than Wednesday, October 4 at 1:00P in Granger and Wenatchee and 3:00P in Seattle.

We ask applicants to bring their current work permits, 2 passport-style photos and, if available, a copy of their approval notices and prior applications for the DACA program.
