We Have Been
Hit!
YVCC has canceled our
summer English classes because of state budget cuts.
Our board is committed to
preserving the class which serves up to 25 highly motivated women and 11 preschool children. This year we have had a continuous waiting list for
English. An unbudgeted $2500 dollars is needed to support the class.
Would you like to be a part of
women’s and children’s learning this summer at La Casa Hogar?
Please consider supporting one
or more students with a gift of $100.
Or your gift may be mail to:

Thank You, a little
goes a long way, you can make a difference!

David Vasquez, Campus Pastor at Luther
College on La Casa’s Summer Teaching Staff
Presenting Bible Stories & personal journeys through the lens of the immigrant.
Pastor David has spent the last year and a half living through the devastation of Postville, IA and its people. His ministry there has affirmed
his faith in the courage and love of people. It has also taught him many lessons about our nation’s need for immigration
reform.
La
Casa first met Pastor David at Holden Village several years ago. He touched the heart of many of us through storytelling and his personal witness to
the immigrant story.
We are grateful to host him at La Casa
Hogar this summer. To learn more about Postville story: http://abusedthepostvilleraid.org/
