New Year, New Classes,
New Opportunities for Preparing Children for School
Evening Early Learning Center Now Offered
We are pleased to announce that thanks to
Yakima Valley Community Foundation and the Washington Apple Education
Foundation, La Casa Hogar will now offer evening early learning services
for children ages 2-12 yrs. We are excited to welcome Lorena
Ortega, who was recently hired for this department.
January 25th is the first day of class
for the children. The class supports women who are enrolled in our
very popular Pre-GED and computer class, which is offered T, W &
Th, from 5pm-8pm. This new early learning center class is great news for
moms who have been waiting patiently for a class like this to be
offered.

Can you and your friends use a little push learning Spanish?
Español Rapido!© is so effective you'll
learn 3 to 5 times faster, have a wonderful time in class, and remember
what you learned. The cost is $395 and includes materials and lunch.
Intermediate Level

Assistance Applications
Goal: Preventing Homelessness
The community is being affected by the downturn economy and is reaching for emergency services.
The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP),
which is now being offered at 107 House, will ease the anxiety. This
program is for eligible families and individuals who have received an
eviction notice and would other wise be homeless. Before being accepted
into the program, individuals and families must complete an application
packet to determine eligibility.
