Six La Casa Hogar Students Will Participate In Ceremony

On Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 1pm, we invite you to celebrate with the community in welcoming forty US Citizens as they take their oath at the Davis High School Auditorium.  Dr. Elaine Beraza, Yakima School District Superintendent had this to say “Affording students the opportunity to witness this celebration instills a sense of pride.  It encourages our students to do their very best to be successful through hard work and determination.  We are very pleased to share in this important ceremony.”

La Casa Hogar started offering citizenship classes two years ago as a result of a request from a student.  Since then over forty-five students have become US Citizens.  Thank you First Baptist Church for hosting the classes.

The next citizenship class begins March 26, 2012.
