Kermes 2010

“The Kermes was a huge success.  Everyone enjoyed themselves!”

What a great response from the community who came out to participate in the 2nd annual “Kermes of La Casa Hogar” a program of Yakima Interfaith Coalition.  Close to 600 celebrated with La Casa Hogar.  The fabulous Kermes guests enjoyed each other, live entertainment, games, the 1st Miss La Casa Pageant and authentic Mexican food.  Over twelve hundred raffle tickets were sold, many seeking a chance to win one of the twelve wonderful prizes that were mostly donated by local small businesses.   The “Back-2-Back” campaign, sponsored by Community Health Plan of WA, was a huge success.  A total of two hundred and fifty new back-packs were given for only $1.
