of programs essential to the successful transition of new immigrants to life
in the Yakima Valley.

Conversational Spanish Classes
Classes emphasize practicing conversation and are at the advanced beginner to intermediate level. We believe that learning Spanish is a process and that you can learn and benefit wherever you are in the process.
“A warm, non-threatening learning experience which melds people of different Spanish abilities together in a fun cooperative educational opportunity of language and cultural enrichment.” (Ann, student).

Intensive pre-GED Preparation Classes

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays 5:00 – 8:00 pm
In partnership with the HEP program at Heritage University. Emphasis on Basic Math. All skill levels welcome.
ESL Levels 1 & 2
This course teaches beginning English skills; speaking, listening, writing, and reading.
Students are actively involved in choosing content areas and receive individual attention to assure progress. This program boasts a 98% retention rate.

ESL Levels 3, 4, & 5
This course expands upon the basic skills learned in levels 1 & 2.

Driving
The driving class offers classroom instruction that covers the skills necessary to obtain a learners permit. Instruction also includes use of interactive driving on the computer.

Computer Literacy/Coneyvt
The goal for women is to gain confidence and independence using technology. Beginning and intermediate levels are offered in basic keyboarding, internet, email and Microsoft office. Many of our students get the opportunity to use the computer for the first time.
Tuesday-Thursday 9:00 am-10:45 am, 11:00 am– 12:45 pm and 1:00 pm-2:45pm
Citizenship Classes
This program will help permanent residents residing in the USA to become a citizen.
Monday & Friday 6:00 to 8:00 pm
